(1) The density of lightweight and high-strength fiberglass molded products is usually between 1.4-2.1g/cm ³, which is about 1/4-1/5 of steel and 2/3 of aluminum, making them lightweight and easy to handle and install. However, lightweight does not necessarily mean low strength. The addition of glass fiber significantly enhances the mechanical properties of the product, with excellent performance in tensile strength, bending strength, and other indicators, and can withstand large loads. For example, in the aerospace industry, the weight and strength requirements for materials are very strict. Fiberglass molded products are widely used in the manufacture of aircraft wings due to their lightweight and high-strength characteristics

The density of fiberglass molded products is usually between 1.4-2.1g/cm ³, which is about 1/4-1/5 of steel and 2/3 of aluminum, making them lightweight and easy to handle and install. However, lightweight does not necessarily mean low strength. The addition of glass fiber significantly enhances the mechanical properties of the product, with excellent performance in tensile strength, bending strength, and other indicators, and can withstand large loads. For example, in the aerospace field, the weight and strength requirements for materials are very strict. Fiberglass molded products are widely used in the manufacturing of aircraft wings, fuselage and other components due to their lightweight and high-strength characteristics. While reducing aircraft weight and improving fuel efficiency, they ensure the safety and reliability of the structure.

(2) Excellent corrosion resistance

Compared with traditional metal materials, fiberglass molded products have excellent corrosion resistance. It can resist erosion from various chemical media, including acids, bases, salt solutions, and organic solvents. This characteristic has enabled fiberglass molded products to be widely used in fields with harsh corrosive environments such as chemical, marine, and environmental protection. Taking the chemical industry as an example, in the process of storing and transporting various corrosive chemicals, equipment such as storage tanks and pipelines made of fiberglass compression molding can effectively resist the corrosion of chemicals, greatly extending the service life of equipment, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring the safety of the production process.

(3) Good insulation performance

Fiberglass molded products are excellent insulation materials with good electrical insulation performance, which can effectively prevent the conduction of current. This makes it play an important role in fields such as electrical and electronic engineering. For example, in the power system, products such as fiberglass molded insulators and insulated operating rods are widely used. They can maintain stable insulation performance in high voltage environments, ensuring the safety and reliability of power transmission. In addition, in some electronic devices that are sensitive to electromagnetic interference, fiberglass molding materials can also be used to make casings to shield external electromagnetic interference and protect the normal operation of electronic components inside the device.

(4) High design flexibility

Through the molding process, various complex shaped and accurately sized fiberglass molded products can be designed and manufactured according to different needs. The design of molds can be flexibly adjusted to achieve diverse product shapes and meet personalized needs in different fields. Both small components and large structural parts can be manufactured through compression molding technology. For example, in the field of architectural decoration, designers can utilize the characteristic of fiberglass molded products to create various uniquely shaped decorative components, such as carvings, railings, artistic ornaments, etc., adding unique artistic charm to buildings.

(5) Good surface quality

The molding process can achieve high surface smoothness of fiberglass molded products without the need for additional surface treatment, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing effect. The surface of the product is flat and smooth, without obvious defects, which not only improves the appearance quality of the product, but also reduces subsequent processing steps and lowers production costs. In some fields with high requirements for appearance, such as sanitary ware, automotive interiors, etc., the good surface quality of fiberglass molded products makes them an ideal choice. For example, bathroom products such as bathtubs and washbasins made of fiberglass compression molding have smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and have a good texture, which is deeply loved by consumers.
