The production of extruded profiles is mainly completed through the extrusion molding process, which is a continuous and highly automated production method. (1) Raw material preparation
According to product design requirements, select appropriate reinforcing fibers (such as glass fiber yarn, carbon fiber bundles, etc.) and matrix resins (such as unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, etc.). Reinforced fibers require surface treatment to enhance their interfacial adhesion with the resin matrix; Resin requires the addition of curing agents, accelerators, flame retardants, and other additives to create a resin system with appropriate viscosity and curing properties.
(2) Fiber arrangement and impregnation
Arrange the prepared reinforcing fibers in an orderly manner through devices such as yarn racks and bundles, and ensure that they enter the dipping tank along the predetermined path. In the impregnation tank, the fibers are fully impregnated with resin, so that the resin is evenly wrapped around the surface of each fiber, forming a fiber resin composite. In order to ensure the impregnation effect, a preform mold is usually used to preliminarily compact the fibers, remove excess resin, and preliminarily shape the fibers.
(3) Extrusion molding and curing
The fiber bundles soaked in resin are continuously pulled into the molding mold by the traction device. The molding mold has a cavity with the same cross-sectional shape as the profile, and during the pulling process, the fiber resin composite is heated and cured inside the mold. The mold temperature is usually accurately controlled according to the curing characteristics of the resin, which is generally divided into preheating area, curing area and post-treatment area, so that the resin can gradually complete the gel, curing and post curing processes, and form pultrusion profiles with stable shape and performance.
(4) Traction and cutting
The cured extruded profiles are pulled out of the mold at a constant speed by a traction machine. The tension and speed of the traction machine need to match the curing speed of the resin to ensure the quality and production efficiency of the profiles. Finally, according to the length requirements of the product, use a cutting device to cut the continuous profiles into finished products.
