(1) Excellent corrosion resistance


One of the advantages of molded grilles is their corrosion resistance. Due to the use of resin as the matrix material, it can resist corrosion from various gas and liquid media such as acids, bases, organic solvents, and salts. Compared with traditional metal grilles, molded grilles do not undergo electrochemical corrosion and rust under the action of chemical media, thus avoiding material structure damage caused by rust. This means that it does not require regular or irregular inspections and maintenance, greatly reducing usage costs and maintenance workload. At the same time, it is not as prone to decay or mold as materials such as wood, making it an ideal upgraded product for traditional materials such as iron, wood, and cement. According to the requirements of actual usage scenarios, different types of resins can be selected as matrix materials, such as ortho benzene type, meta benzene type, vinyl type, etc., to meet different degrees of corrosion resistance requirements and ensure that the product has a service life of more than 20 years.


(2) Lightweight and high-strength


The molded grille is made of resin and glass fiber composite, with a low density of only 1/4 of steel and 2/3 of aluminum. However, its strength should not be underestimated, 10 times that of rigid polyvinyl chloride, surpassing aluminum and reaching the level of ordinary steel. This lightweight and high-strength characteristic gives it great advantages in applications. Lightweight weight can greatly reduce the foundation support, thereby lowering the material cost of the project. At the same time, its cutting and installation are simple, without the need for hot work or large lifting equipment. With only a small amount of manual labor and electric tools, the installation work can be easily completed, which greatly reduces the installation cost.


(3) Good flame retardant performance


Fire safety is crucial in many industrial and building scenarios. The oxygen index (tested according to GB 8924) of the general fiberglass molded grating is above 32; The flame propagation rate of the high flame retardant ethylene based grille is below 10 and has been recognized by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Its smooth surface filled with resin and sloping inner surface give the grille a self-cleaning effect. Even if there is dirt, it is easy to rinse with water or detergent, making the grille surface as smooth as new, greatly reducing the difficulty and cost of later maintenance.
